'It's going the other way thanks to Shaun Wade.' Here's what OSU players did in the NFL

After recording only one catch for four yards in his first NFL preseason game, Chris Olave got more involved in the New Orleans Saints' offense Friday night.

The former Ohio State wide receiver took a 20-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ian Book, who rolled out, getting extra time to throw after a block from former Ohio State tight end Nick Vannett.

"One of the great touchdown receivers in Big Ten history comes in with a 20-yard touchdown reception," play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan said on the TV broadcast.

Olave finished his four-year Ohio State career with a team-record 35 touchdown receptions, beating former Buckeye David Boston's record of 34 he set between 1996-98.

Olave, the New Orleans Saints' first round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, finished the loss to the Green Bay Packers with two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown on three targets.

Shaun Wade, Raekwon McMillan show up for New England Patriots defense

Former Ohio State players were making plays all over the New England Patriots defense in its second preseason win against the Carolina Panthers.

Former Ohio State cornerback Shaun Wade exploded forward, intercepting Panthers quarterback P.J. Walker's pass meant for wide receiver Derek Wright. Wade, a former fifth-round selection by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2021 NFL draft, also recorded a pass deflection.

Former Ohio State linebacker and second-round draft pick by the Miami Dolphins Raekwon McMillan tied for the Patriots' lead in tackles with six.
