Giants great Tiki Barber named a 2024 Hall of Fame semifinalist
New York Giants legend Tiki Barber has been named a modern-era semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2024.
The best Giants running back in franchise history will have a chance to join the NFL greats in the Hall of Fame next year. Barber had an illustrious career spanning from 1997-2006, breaking 22 franchise records.
Barber finished his career with 10,449 rushing yards (averaging 4.7 yards per carry), 55 rushing touchdowns, 5183 receiving yards, and 12 receiving touchdowns. He now ranks 15th all-time in scrimmage yards and 27th all-time in rushing yards.
Barber is one of 25 finalists which will be reduced to 15 before the final decision process.
It will be a tough task for Barber (who is getting his first semifinalist nomination 18 years after retiring) as he will be competing with a stacked class that includes Antonio Gates, London Fletcher, James Harrison, Darren Woodson, Patrick Willis, and many more all-time greats.
Barber could be joining his brother who has already been enshrined in Canton. Ronde Barber (three-time First-Team All-Pro defensive back) became a Hall of Famer in 2023.
