After an action-packed weekend, fighting games event Genesis 4 has drawn to a close. Here were the top 4 final placements in the Super Smash Bros. Melee singles tourmament:

  • 1st. Adam “Armada” Lindgren (Peach)

  • 2nd. Joseph “Mango” Marquez (Fox, Falco)

  • 3rd. Jason “Mew2King” Zimmerman (Marth, Sheik)

  • 4th. Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma (Jigglypuff)

  • 5th-6th. William “Leffen” Hjelte (Fox)

  • 5th-6th. Justin “Plup” McGrath (Sheik)

The grand final saw saw Armada beat Mango 3-0 to scoop up first place.

In the Super Smash Bros. Wii U tournament, the results were as follows:

  • 1st. Leonardo “MKLeo” Lopez Perez (Marth, Cloud)

  • 2nd. Elliot “Ally” Carroza-Oyarce (Mario)

  • 3rd. Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios (Diddy Kong, Cloud)

  • 4th. Zack “CaptainZack” Lauth (Bayonetta, Wii Fit Trainer)

  • 5th-6th. Ramin “Mr.R” Delshad (Sheik, Marth)

  • 5th-6th. Yuta “Abadango” Kawamura (Mewtwo)

Genesis 4 took place at the San Jose Convention Center on January 20-22. The event featured multiple tournaments in addition to the Super Smash Bros. events, including a Street Fighter V tournament, Catherine tournament, and doubles tournaments.
