Game-winning goals, hat tricks and big touchdowns highlight Player of the Week nominees.

Every week this sports season, fans across Delmarva will have the chance to vote for the Delmarva Now Player of the Week.

Nominees are selected based on their performance over the previous seven days: Oct 9-15.

Anyone can submit a candidate for consideration by emailing abranch@delmarvanow.com. You must email the athlete's name, school, sport and stats from that week.

Votes will only be counted from the poll below. Do not email your vote.

Voting will open on Monday and close Wednesday at 3 p.m. A breakdown of each athlete's week is available underneath. The winner will be announced on the Delmarva Now Facebook page.

Here are the nominees for this week:

Sophie Daniels (Holly Grove Christian School)

• Scored four goals in their win over Annapolis Area Christian last week.

Brycen Coleman (Stephen Decatur Football)

• Ran for a touchdown and threw three touchdown passes in their win over North Caroline last week.

Dakota Trader (Pocomoke Field Hockey)

• Scored the game-winning goal in their double overtime win over Pocomoke last week.

Madison Spain (Washington Field Hockey)

• Blocked 10 shots in goal in their game against Queen Anne's last week.

Caleb Elliot (Snow Hill Boys Soccer)

• Recorded a hat trick with three goals in their win over Wi-Hi last week.

Sam Ball (Parkside Boys Soccer)

• Scored two goals in their win over Stephen Decatur last week.

Stephen Decatur Golf Team

• Went undefeated on the season, and captured the District VIII Golf Championship and Bayside Conference Championship last week.

Kerontez Bratten (Parkside Football)

• Returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, scoring the lone touchdown in their win over Wi-Hi last week.
