Game One Highlights: Baseball – Texas A&M vs No. 13 Kentucky

Due to a weather delay on Friday game one ultimately was moved to Saturday making it a doubleheader. Texas A&M needed to overcome pitching issues once again, but they were able to grab the lead and keep it for the remainder of the game. Evan Aschenbeck and Will Johnston keep the ship upright long enough for the Aggies to hold Kentucky to three runs and six hits. After winning game one, they had a 45-minute break before they have to be back on the diamond with a chance to secure their fourth straight SEC series victory of the season.

Coach Schlossangle gave a few insights on Aschenbecks pitching and giving up free bases

“Aschenbeck has been money in the back all year,” Schlossnagle said.

“They gave us some outs,” Schlossnagle said. “You can’t give them free bases. Every time we gave them free bases, they scored.”

Game three will start at 12 pm on April 23rd
