The Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers are playing in the 2023 World Series after both teams failed to make the playoffs the previous season.

The DBacks and Rangers are both coming off exhilarating seven-game championship series against the Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros, respectively.

The Diamondbacks last made the World Series in 2001, beating the New York Yankees to secure its first title in franchise history. The Rangers made back-to-back World Series in 2010 and 2011, losing both.
