Gabe Vincent will miss at least two weeks with knee ailment

One of the big additions the Los Angeles Lakers made this offseason was Gabe Vincent, a young and gritty guard who made his name with the Miami Heat last season. He was a key part of the Heat’s unexpected run to the NBA Finals thanks to his aggressive defense, secondary ball-handling and timely 3-point shooting.

He has shown signs so far this season of becoming a glue guy for Los Angeles. Head coach Darvin Ham has often gone with him in the fourth quarters of games, and his defense has helped the team get off to a decent start.

However, Vincent missed the Lakers’ last game with a knee ailment. That ailment will cause him to miss at least the next two weeks.

Without him, the Lakers will likely call upon second-year man Max Christie, as they did on Wednesday in their overtime win over the Clippers.
