FSU vs NC State baseball score updates: Follow live from Saturday's ACC game
The Florida State baseball team continues its ACC series against North Carolina State tonight.
No. 6 FSU (34-10, 13-9) lost Friday's opener 8-7 after a nearly 2-hour rain delay. The Seminoles got back-to-back home runs from James Tibbs III (19 on the season) and Marco Dinges (12), but the No. 20 Wolfpack (26-17, 13-9) held them off thanks to dingers by Jacob Cozart (15) and Alec Makarewicz (18).
Tonight's probable starters are Carson Dorsey (2-2, 4.10 ERA) for the Seminoles and Dominic Fritton (0-1, 16.87 ERA) for the Wolfpack. Dorsey has filled in nicely for Cam Leiter and Conner Whittaker over the past few weeks, giving up two runs on seven hits and a walk with eight strikeouts over six innings vs. Duke a week after striking out a career-high 11 at Wake Forest. Fritton had a rough start to the year but has been solid the past three weeks, giving up one run over 5⅔ innings with four strikeouts his last time out.
