Four-star cornerback Terrance Brooks commits to Ohio State

Ohio State has yet another commitment for the class of 2022 that’s shaping up to be another great one.

Four-star 2022 defensive back Terrance Brooks announced his verbal commitment to the Buckeyes on his Twitter account Wednesday. He makes it fifteen overall commits to the class that is currently ranked as the No. 1 class in the country according to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings.

Brooks continues the trend of Texas natives leaving the state to play for Ohio State, and it’s a big one. Already in the 2022 class, the Buckeyes have commitments from Texans Quinn Ewers and Caleb Brown, both five-star prospects. This adds to others that have made the move from the Lone Star state to the Buckeye State in recent years.

Though Brooks isn’t currently rated as a five-star prospect, he’s close. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he is ranked as the No. 8 cornerback and 58th overall prospect in the entire class.

This is extremely good news for Ryan Day and staff, and now we await the decision of five-star defensive lineman J.T. Tuimoloau that could come this week as well.
