Four-star athlete Ju’Juan Johnson decommits from Colorado

The Colorado Buffaloes’ spring game was fun to watch, and we gained a first-hand look at Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and many others competing at Folsom Field for the first time.

Not long after the game, however, a number of players entered the transfer portal, including wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig. The bad news kept coming for Colorado, too. Four-star class of 2024 athlete Ju’Juan Johnson announced his decommitment from the Buffs on Sunday, per his Twitter page.

Johnson is the top 2024 athlete in the state of Louisiana (he’s projected as a cornerback), but with Hunter and Cormani McClain coming to Boulder, it would’ve been tough for him to find playing time next season.

However, Johnson mentioned the Buffs remain an option in his recruitment:

“Colorado is still a top school and will still be highly considered as I continue to navigate through this process,” Johnson wrote on Twitter.
