Former UNC basketball guard Anthony Harris transfers

Former North Carolina Tar Heels basketball guard Anthony Harris has found a new program as he continues to chase his dream.

On Friday night, St.Thomas University announced the signing of Harris to its program in Florida as they add the guard to their roster for the upcoming 2023-24 season. The Virginia native committed to North Carolina out of high school and played three seasons in Chapel Hill but battled injuries.

He left the team shortly before the Final Four run in 2022 and planned on transferring to Rhode Island. But Harris never played for the program and now is heading to Florida to join St. Thomas University.

The program is at the NAIA level as Harris looks to find stability with the program.

In three seasons at North Carolina, Harris averaged 3.5 points and just under one assist per game while playing as a reserve guard.
