Former Ravens C Bradley Bozeman agrees to terms with new NFL team

The Baltimore Ravens have had a very busy 2022 free agency period so far. They’ve added multiple big-time additions that shore up needs in multiple areas as well as can contribute for years to come.

While the team has brought in new faces, they’ve also seen a few of their own free agents depart. On Friday, the Carolina Panthers announced that they had agreed to terms with former Baltimore center Bradley Bozeman on a one-year deal.

Bozeman, 27, was a sixth-round pick in the 2018 draft by the Ravens. The offensive lineman played at left guard in 2019 as well as 2020. He only started in one game his rookie year. Bozeman then switched to the center position in 2021.

Through four seasons, Bozeman started in 49 of 62 games. The center gave up three sacks, had a fumble and was penalized once in 2021, according to Pro Football Focus.

Besides being a great talent on the field, Bozeman will also be missed in Baltimore for work he did off the field. Bozeman and his wife, Nikki Bozeman started The Bradley and Nikki Foundation. The foundation has done work in the community to stress the effects of bullying and launched a collaborative charitable program that provided food and academic support to children living in disadvantaged neighborhoods in Baltimore.

The loss of Bozeman for the Ravens will have them looking for a new center either through free agency or the draft. Offensive lineman Trystan Colon and Patrick Mekari could be options at the position if need be.
