Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints wide receiver, was taken into custody Monday in Kenner Louisiana after police said he was driving 70 m.p.h. in a 35-m.p.h. speed zone, ESPN reported.

The Dodge Charger driven by Olave was “observed traveling at the high rate of speed, recklessly and maneuvering between lanes and around other drivers on the roadway, according to police.

Olave was arrested near his house, according to CBS affiliate WWL in New Orleans.

He was booked in the Kenner Jail and released Monday night.

In August, Olave was previously cited for going 54 m.p.h. in a 35 m.p.h. speed limit, WWL reported.

The Saints said they were aware of the situation but had no comment, according to ESPN.

Olave is in his second year with the Saints after playing from 2018-21 at Ohio State.
