Former Monarch Mitchell Parker to get first MLB start on Monday at Dodger Stadium

Apr. 14—Former Manzano High School pitcher Mitchell Parker will be making his Major League debut on Monday night.

The left-handed pitcher will be the starter for the Washington Nationals as they play at Dodger Stadium against the potent LA Dodgers.

Parker 24, was drafted by the Nationals in the fifth round of the 2020 draft. He went No. 153 overall.

He made only one Triple-A start for Rochester, striking out five batters in four innings on April 6.
