Football roundup: Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers trip up ACGC Falcons in overtime
Sep. 8—GROVE CITY — Needing overtime to decide a winner, Browerville/Eagle Valley capped off a comeback victory.
Down 24-18 at Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City in the fourth quarter, the Tigers punched in the game-tying score. Then they were the only team to score in overtime to secure a 30-24 victory Friday at ACGC High School.
The Falcons took the loss despite out-rushing Browerville/Eagle Valley 278-230.
Casey Struthers broke off a pair of rushing TDs, including one from 73 yards in the second quarter. He finished with a team-high 122 yards on seven carries.
Jevon Williams ran 18 times for 80 yards, including a 2-yard score in the first half. He also finished with 10 total tackles.
Kyler Pickle ran for 72 yards on 14 carries while also throwing for 45 more yards. Struthers was his top target with three catches for 33 yards.
ACGC is back at home next week, hosting Upsala/Swanville at 7 p.m. Friday.
