Florida football on a recruiting hot streak

The Florida Gators have shot up the recruiting rankings. Georgia recently flipped former four-star Florida running back commit Chauncey Bowens. However, the Gators have been on a hot streak in recruiting since then.

The Gators now have the No. 3 recruiting class in the country. The only teams ranked above Florida are Michigan and Georgia. LSU is currently the only other SEC program ranked inside the top 10. Alabama will certainly find a way to finish with (at least) a top five recruiting class.

Florida’s class of 2024 has 16 total commitments including verbal pledges from two five-star recruits.

More than half of Florida’s recruiting class has committed to the Gators in the past 10 days. Florida is looking to finish with its best recruiting class is a longtime. There’s still a ways to go with the 2024 recruiting cycle. The 2023 college football season will undoubtedly influence where recruits want to play. Florida is not expected to have a big season in 2023, so that may impact their 2024 recruiting class.

Florida is looking to close strong in the 2024 recruiting cycle after elite quarterback Jaden Rashada decommitted from the Gators to end the 2023 recruiting cycle. Florida holds a commitment from five-star quarterback DJ Lagway, who is the most important piece of their 2024 recruiting class.

Georgia fans will want to keep an eye on the Gator’s recruiting class. It is hard to win without elite talent. Could the 2024 cycle be what puts Florida back on the map for top recruits?
