Florida Everblades hockey team proposes date night for Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce

The Florida Everblades decided to get in on the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce mania sweeping the nation on Monday.

The minor league hockey organization based in Southwest Florida posted a photo on its Facebook page showing two reserved seats in one of the suites at Hertz Arena in Estero − one with Kelce's name on it and the other with Swift's name.

Above the photo on Facebook it said "BREAKING: Travis Kelce reserved a suite for the Everblades Opening Night on October 28th."

The entertainment and professional sports worlds collided in a big way on Sunday afternoon when the mega-singer Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs NFL game against the Chicago Bears.

Swift was on hand to watch Kelce, one of Chiefs' stars. She was caught on camera throughout the game in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium sitting next to Kelce's mother. Swift jumped from her seat when Kelce caught a touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes on the way to a Kansas City victory.

Rumors have been swirling that the Grammy-award winning singer and the Chiefs tight end, a winner of two Super Bowls rings, have been seeing each other. This public display on Sunday, including Swift and Kelce walking out of the stadium together after the game, then driving away in a convertible, basically lit social media on fire.

According to USA TODAY, neither Swift or Kelce have publicly confirmed their relationship beyond her Sunday appearance at the game.

Kelce attended Swift's Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium in July.

The Florida Everblades minor league hockey team has reserved two seats in a suite at Hertz Arena for the team's home opener on Oct. 28. One is for NFL star Travis Kelce and one is for ultra-popular signer Taylor Swift.

The Everblades open their 2023-24 home season on Oct. 28 at Hertz against the Jacksonville Icemen at 7 p.m.

One problem with their plan to bring Swift and Kelce together again at a sports event: Kelce and the Chiefs are scheduled to play a game in Denver against the Broncos on Oct. 29. Concert-wise Swift is free. The second leg of her wildly popular Eras tour starts on May 17 in Solna, Sweden.

Needless to say, people in the comments thread for the Everblades' Facebook post were having some fun with it:

"Rumors have it that she will be singing the national anthem."

"What about his (Kelce's) mom??!!"

"If they last until then."
