Flathead harriers sweep Glacier Invitational meet

Oct. 12—Three out of four when the Flathead cross country program Wednesday, sweeping the team titles and boasting the overall boys winner at the Glacier Invitational meet at Rebecca Farm.

Flathead's Robbie Nuila finished the course in a personal best of 15 minutes, 56.19 seconds to win the boys race and lead a 1-3-5-8-11 finish for the Braves, who scored 28 points to 32 for Glacier.

Cut Bank was next with 32.

Glacier freshman Lauren Bisson won the girls race in 19:10.80, but again Flathead came through with the team win, scoring 28 points to 31 for the Pack.

Josie Wilson (19:49.94), Lilli Rumsey Eash and Mikenna Conan finished 2-3-4 for Flathead, and all under 20 minutes. Glacier's Anna Tretter and Alyssa Vollertsen finished 5-6, the latter with a PR of 20:17.97. In seventh was Flathead's Afton Wride, also with a PR.

Flathead won the boys junior varsity meet 27-30 from Glacier, while the Flathead girls JV got the best of the Pack, 21-38.

T-Falls girls win Western B/C

THOMPSON FALLS — Marina Tulloch of Plains was the individual girls winner and host Thompson Falls won the girls team title Thursday at the Western B/C Invitational cross country meet.

The field included nine teams for the boys and just four for the girls; Plains has a potent team but just four of the Trotters ran Thursday. Tulloch ran her personal best: 20 minutes, 2.5 seconds.

Eureka was third in both the boys and girls team races, getting season bests from a total of 16 runners.
