Five-star cornerback could commit to USC sooner rather than later

Mission Viejo High School four-star cornerback Dijon Lee Jr. has received scholarship offers from USC for the 2025 class.

Lee had a more than stellar sophomore season, racking up 35 tackles, a pair of interceptions, three pass break-ups, and a blocked punt.

Lee has elite size for a cornerback at 6’3 and 190 pounds. He has seen his recruitment activity skyrocket since the end of the 2022 season. Now a five-star recruit in the 247Sports composite rankings, Texas, UCLA, Oregon, USC and Oklahoma are among those to extend scholarship offers.

There is a sense inside the recruiting industry that Lee might make a decision sooner rather than later. Obviously, in light of what has happened with Dakoda Fields — who flipped from USC to Oregon not that long after originally committing to the Trojans — early commitments have to be taken with a grain of salt. However, if a prospect seems to want to bring his recruitment to a close instead of allowing it to drag on, the various recruiters involved in the sequence of events need to pay close attention and make sure they put together a convincing closing argument.
