First half highlights: Seahawks lead Cards 13-6

The Seattle Seahawks are locked in another tough fight to close out the regular season finale. The Seahawks currently lead the Arizona Cardinals 13-6 in the Valley of the Sun.

Seattle took an early lead with their opening drive, following an Arizona punt. The offense did stall in the red zone, but they did manage to get a field goal out of it. The Cardinals answered with two possessions later with a field goal of their own, following this explosive run from quarterback Kyler Murray.

Thankfully, the Seahawks were able to answer immediately on their following drive, retaking the lead. Geno Smith found Will Dissly on a 19-yard touchdown strike to get in the end zone for the first time today. It was Dissly’s first score of the year.

The Seahawks were able to get points on the board with a field goal right before half to make it a full one-score game.

In other news, there is plenty of scoreboard watching from 12’s everywhere. Specifically one scoreboard: between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears. Seattle needs Chicago to pull off an upset to have a shot at the playoffs, and so far the Bears are giving the Packers a fight.

Green Bay leads 7-6 at half, but they blew a crucial opportunity for more points. The clock ran out on them thanks to a heads up play from a rookie defender.

The Seahawks will get the ball to start the second half. Be sure to follow @TheSeahawksWire on Twitter for live updates and highlights during the game.
