The results are in.

Fleming Island senior Rauly Eason is the Florida Times-Union's First Florida Credit Union Athlete of the Week for the 2023-24 high school sports season, covering the week of Aug. 28-Sept. 2 in the Jacksonville area.

The senior surpassed the 500 career kills mark, recording 24 on the week with a .677 hitting percentage to lead Golden Eagles volleyball past Christ's Church and Bradford. She has committed to Harding University.

She placed first in a vote of top Northeast Florida performers that included Connor Guy (Keystone Heights boys golf), Jamal Harvey-Jackson (Riverside football), Alyson Johnson (Creekside girls cross country), Jaylen Pettway (White football), Matt Ryan (Nease boys cross country), and Emma Wells (Providence girls golf).

This week's vote

It's time to vote for Florida Times-Union's next First Florida Credit Union Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 4-9, 2023.

The Times-Union gathers nominees from scores, stats and nominations e-mailed to the sports desk during the week by coaches across Northeast Florida. Coaches can e-mail these stats and scores to preps@jacksonville.com.

This week's voting begins Monday morning and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday. Votes are restricted to once per device per hour.

Nicole Avila, Stanton girls swimming

She won four events in the Blue Devils' dual meet against White, taking first place in the 50-yard freestyle, the 100 free, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay.

Jaime Ffrench, Mandarin football

The junior wide receiver caught five passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns in Mandarin's 50-20 win at previously-unbeaten Riverside.

John Finnemore, Ponte Vedra boys swimming

He led the Sharks in Thursday's tri-meet with Fernandina Beach and St. Augustine, winning the 50 free, 100 free, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.

Nolan Harper, Beachside boys golf

He led the Barracudas to victory in Wednesday's dual match against Creekside, winning medalist honors with a 34 at St. Johns Golf Club.

Ryanne Robinson, Orange Park volleyball

The junior blasted 35 kills and made 21 digs as the Raiders defeated St. Johns Country Day and Bishop Snyder, extending their winning streak to four matches.

Jenssy Smith, Ribault football

The senior defensive end and team co-captain recovered two fumbles and helped the Trojans shut out Stanton 45-0.

Addy Vogt, St. Johns Country Day girls golf

The Spartans' leading player won medalist honors twice this week, shooting a 38 at Eagle Harbor and following with a career-best 33 (four birdies) at Eagle Landing against Bishop Snyder, Clay and Oakleaf.

Lauren Voutour, St. Augustine girls cross country

The junior ran a season-best 19:31 at the Coach Joe McKinney Classic in New Smyrna Beach, finishing third overall and helping the Yellow Jackets to a second-place team finish.

Walker White, Providence boys cross country

The Stallions' senior raced away with the Clay County Cross Country Invitational at Green Cove Springs in a personal-best 16:41, which also won the team title for Providence.
