Heroics during the final 16 seconds: Section V's top player performances from Saturday

Here are the top performances during the Section V football games on Saturday during the second block of games this season:

Ray Allen, East Rochester/Gananda: Returned an interception for a touchdown during a runaway victory for the Bombers over Bishop Kearney/Rochester Academy. Jordan Nunn also intercepted a pass.

Gavin Armbrewster, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba: Aggies back-up quarterback threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Carson Warner and intercepted a pass as a defensive back during the team's 41-6 win over York/Pavilion.

Joe Bauer, York/Pavilion: Had three receptions for 57 yards during a 41-6 loss to Oakfield-Alabama/Elba.

Elijah Bender, Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton: Made a team-high nine tackles, three for losses, Caleb Knapp eight, including one for a loss, during their team's 3-0 win over Vertus.

Clayton Bezon, Attica/Alexander: Had six carries for 63 yards and a touchdown, and six tackles on defense, during a 28-6 win over Lyons/Sodus. Tyler Marino added 10 carries for 41 yards.

Parker Bonefede, York/Pavilion: Rushed for eight yards and a touchdown, and completed 9 of 18 passes for 118 yards during a 41-6 loss to Oakfield-Alabama/Elba.

Ryan Brady, York/Pavilion: Led the team with eight tackles during a 41-6 loss to Oakfield-Alabama/Elba. Tyler Brady added six tackles and Kyle Northrup had five tackles.

Miles Caviness, East Rochester/Gananda: Caught two passes, one for a touchdown and finished with 71 receiving yards during a 54-point win over Bishop Kearney/Rochester Academy.

Gavin Earl, Penfield: The sophomore had two sacks and four tackles during a 26-7 win at Rush-Henrietta. Anthony Fallon added five tackles and deflected two passes, and Aaron Hardaway caught an interception.

Brady Henchen, Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton: Carried 16 times for 101 yards in a low-scoring game in Section V Class B, a 3-0 win over Vertus in the city of Rochester.

Case Hill, Attica/Alexander: Led the defense with seven tackles during a 28-6 win over Lyons/Sodus.

Bodie Hyde, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba: Aggies quarterback/linebacker ran for three touchdowns, 219 yards on 17 carries and made eight tackles, two for losses, during the team's 41-6 win over York/Pavilion.

Jackson Koppers, Rush-Henrietta: The quarterback scored the Royal Comets' lone touchdown and rushed for 23 yards on nine carries during a 26-7 loss to Penfield.

Reid Martin, Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton: Kicked a 38-yard field goal with 16 remaining during a game in Section V Class B at Rochester Community Sports Complex, homefield for the Vertus Warriors. Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton won 3-0.

Nick Masters, Penfield: The senior had 17 carries for 71 yards and two receptions for 36 yards during a 26-7 win at Rush-Henrietta.

Justin Medina, Rush-Henrietta: Rushed 12 times for 57 yards during a 26-7 loss to Penfield.

Ben Newman, East Rochester/Gananda: Threw 3 touchdown passes, including one each to Noah Mather and Caleb Carpenter while completing 5 of 6 passes for 126 yards during the team's 54-0 win over Bishop Kearney/Rochester Academy.

Nasir Patton, Rush-Henrietta: The receiver had 67 yards on five receptions during a 26-7 loss to Penfield.

Adam Schembri, Penfield: The senior carried the ball 11 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns during a 26-7 win at Rush-Henrietta.

Carl Szczech, York/Pavilion: Had 19 carries for 75 yards, and had seven tackles, during a 41-6 loss to Oakfield-Alabama/Elba.

AJ Theodorakakos, Penfield: The sophomore racked up 136 yards on 13 carries and a pair of touchdowns during a 26-7 win at Rush-Henrietta.

Landyn Thomas, Attica/Alexander: Rushed 13 time for 121 yards and two touchdowns during a 28-6 win over Lyons/Sodus.

Avery Watterson, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba: Aggies running back/linebacker, a junior, rushed for 102 yards with a touchdown on 10 carries and intercepted a pass while the team defeated York/Pavilion 41-6.
