Fantasy Pitchers: One starter and two relievers to help your staff

You can make it pretty far in your fantasy baseball league if your pitching staff is top-notch. Having a squadron of reliable arms with good ratios is the ultimate way to balance a fantasy team, but it can be hard to find real value on the waiver wire. That said, fantasy baseball expert Andy Behrens has you covered!

First up in Andy’s trio of pitching offerings is Corbin Martin. The Astros called up the prospect after sending the struggling Collin McHugh to the bullpen, and man did Martin shine in his MLB debut. He fits the profile of a solid starter for the Astros, and he’s widely available in Yahoo leagues.

Next is Luke Jackson, who is looking more and more like the answer to the Atlanta Braves’ bullpen woes. If you’re looking for saves in your league, Jackson is an under-owned option (but ownership levels are starting to rise, so be quick!).

Lastly, Steve Cishek is emerging out of the Cubs’ closing committee, and even if he doesn’t get the job title, his proven profile can help with your pitching ratios.
