Fantasy Basketball pickups ahead of Week 17

DAN TITUS: What's up, we're back in Week 16 for more waiver wire pickups that are under 50% rostered in Yahoo leagues. My first recommendation, name might sound familiar, Drew Eubanks. That's because this time last week, Jusuf Nurkic injured his calf. And guess what happened this week? He injured his calf again. So Drew Eubanks absolutely needs to be the priority add.

He finished with a double double with three assists and two stocks in relief of Nurkic. So as long as Nurkic is out, I would prioritize Drew Eubanks. He's going to be a good source of rebounds and blocks, and he's only 14% rostered in Yahoo leagues. The next player that I'm going to be looking at is also injury-related, and that's Josh Richardson of the San Antonio Spurs.

He's only 16% rostered in Yahoo leagues. Tre Jones and Jeremy Sochan both left Wednesday's contest with injuries. Josh Richardson had missed three games prior to that, but he stepped in had 19 points, two threes with eight rebounds, three dimes and a steal too. So I think Josh Richardson pretty much covers multiple categories.

So in a four-game week heading into Week 17, Josh Richardson is certainly someone that I would look at adding, assuming Tre Jones is going to miss some time. The last person I pick up is KJ Martin of the Houston Rockets. Jalen Green has been ruled out for Friday's contest. The Houston Rockets play a back to back set on Friday and Saturday, but then they also play three games in four nights.

So if Kevin Porter Jr. isn't back yet, doesn't look like he's going to be, KJ Martin is going to continue to get these minutes. He's actually rostered less than Tariq Eason. So in deeper leagues, Tariq Eason might already be rostered.

But if KJ Martin's still floating out there on waivers, he's double doubled in two of his last four games and he will be a good source of points and rebounds and may even sprinkle in a three and a couple of steals too. So those are the three pickups that I would prioritize ahead of Week 17.
