Fans who showed up to watch Antonio Brown play for Albany Empire left disappointed

Albany Empire fans came out like never before on Saturday night to watch former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown suit up for the team he now owns and play one last game. According to Pro Football Focus, the crowd was something in the neighborhood of 2,000 larger than usual.

And they were treated to Brown choosing not to play. Show of hands if you are surprised.

Brown had an excuse that it was related to a passed physical which doesn’t hold water since technically he didn’t need one. But better yet, Brown tested it out there after missing that game that he is going to play but offered no date.

Make no mistake. This is just a massive publicity stunt and an attempt to deflect attention from all the negative things going on with him and his team and just take advantage of his fanbase who thinks he can do no wrong.
