Fans react to Alabama’s devastating loss to Notre Dame in the Round of 64
Alabama men’s basketball entered the NCAA Tournament as a No. 6 Seed and faced off against No. 11 Notre Dame in the Round of 64. The Fighting Irish took down Rutgers in double-overtime less than 48 hours ago to earn a spot in the Big Dance.
The Crimson Tide regular season ended in disappointment and the postseason began with a rough loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores in the opening round of the SEC Conference Tournament.
In Alabama’s matchup against Notre Dame, it was clear the Crimson Tide did not show up looking to compete.
Jahvon Quinerly got injured in the opening minutes of the game and everything fell apart in the second half.
The offseason has begun, but college basketball fans are king this time to reflect not only on this game, but the 2021-2022 season overall.
The team's tweet makes it official.

The Crimson Tide has the dignity to tweet out the final score, even in a loss.
Expecting it doesn't relieve the pain

Some fans entered this game expecting this outcome… it doesn’t come any easier.
The season was a roller coaster that was bound to end early
I love Alabama basketball and always will but I’m kinda relieved this season is over. Just have some guys that don’t want it…

So many inconsistencies have had fan thrown for a loop all year long.
Some insight as to what happened the night before
Last night, Alabama was offered an optional extra shootaround.
Jahvon Quinerly was the only person to show up.
That right there is the only thing to know why this team underachieved. Leave it at that.@CWsports

Only one player attended an optional shootaround, he got hurt in the opening minutes.
As the GOAT once stated.
as Cameron Luke Ratliff once said
“thank you for the ride of a lifetime. alabama, goodnight.”

Missing Fluff a bit extra during these times.
Hoping for the return of JQ
Really hope that isn’t the last time watching JQ in an Alabama jersey. Let’s win it for him 🍇🙌

The guard got injured early, but was this the last game the for him with the Crimson Tide?
Fans calling for Oats' seat?
To everyone saying fire Nate Oats; please don’t be in Coleman Coliseum next year, nor should you be cheering for Alabama next season. That man in three years has won us an SEC Regular Season Title (first one in 19 years), an SEC Tournament Title (first one in 30 years), and

Nate Oats is slowly turning the program around, so what’s this about?
Further proof Oats is the man for the job
Alabama goes to back to back tournaments for the first time in 16 years and fans want the coach fired a year after he won the SEC

Crimson Tide fans were on the outside looking in with respect to the tournament just a few years ago.
Will the NBA prospect return?
JD Davison needs at least another year at Alabama. I think we can all agree on that.
— Joseph Goodman 🐐🤡 (@JoeGoodmanJr) March 18, 2022
JD is projected first round in the upcoming NBA draft, but could he return to Alabama for a sophomore season?
The end of the story has been written for some time
You can’t seriously be surprised, right?
This has seemed like a foregone conclusion since January.

Alabama fans felt this coming for quite some time.
