Fan picks up Cristiano Ronaldo after running onto field during Portugal's Euro qualifier

Cristiano Ronaldo remained calm when a fan gave him a bear hug and lifted him off the ground after running onto the pitch during Portugal's Euro 2024 qualifying match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The fan bowed at the superstar's feet before wrapping his arms around Ronaldo's waist and hoisting him into the air. He waived a Portugal flag as he then ran off to avoid security.

Despite the security breach, Ronaldo seemed to smile after his feet were back on the turf, and did his iconic goal celebration with the fan.

His team went on to win the match 3-0 at their home stadium, Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica. The match marked Ronaldo's 199th cap for Portugal, setting up No. 200 for Tuesday against Iceland.

American YouTube sensation, Speed, meets Cristiano Ronaldo

The pitch invader wasn't the only Ronaldo fan encounter going viral Saturday. An American, known to his 17 million subscribers on YouTube as IShowSpeed, finally met his idol for the first time after the Euro qualifier and his video of the encounter racked up 2.1 million views in the first 5 hours it was posted.

"Oh my God. Oh my God," Speed says repeatedly in the 6-minute video after Ronaldo gets out of a car to meet him. "I love you bro."

The two share a hug, take a photo and do the "Siu" goal celebration, while Speed can hardly catch his breath and Ronaldo smiles and tells him to "calm down."

The calm ended after Ronaldo got back in the car and Speed begins enthusiastically jumping up and down, shouting "I did it bro! I did it! Let's go! I love you Ronaldo!" He then falls to the ground in tears.
