Destiny Lunan has helped lead two different high school basketball teams to championships since she was a freshman at Surprise Valley Vista.

On Wednesday, the state's top ESPN-ranked junior announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that she's transferring from Scottsdale Bella Vista Academy to Valley Vista's West Valley rival powerhouse Goodyear Millennium.

"After moving back to Goodyear, Arizona, I’m thrilled to announce that I’m back in my original school district and now enrolled at (Millennium High School) to further my studies and basketball journey for my junior year," Lunan posted with hashtags Lady Tigers and her nickname Ky'She.

Lunan's recruiting profile has skyrocketed since she was placed No. 24 in The Arizona Republic's 2022-23 Elite 50 player poll released in December 2022.

After being the starting small forward on Valley Vista's 2022 AIA 6A state title team, Lunan left that conference's four-time defending champion and became the top player at Bella Vista last season.

Lunan has drawn more attention as Bella Vista won the Grind Session national title in March, and this summer's club circuit for West Coast Elite. She's Arizona's top-ranked junior and No. 29 overall in ESPN's Class of 2025 Top 60 national player poll.

Lunan has received offers from Syracuse, Florida, Kentucky, George Washington, and St. Johns since July.

Lunan will be paired with the 2023 Open Division championship runner-up Millennium's UNLV-committed senior guard Elli Guiney to form one of the state's best tandems. Guiney led Millennium to the last two of its four straight 5A titles from 2019 to 2022, and was The Republic's fourth-best player in its Elite 50 rankings last year.
