Erie boxer Anthony Bizzarro highlights Bayfront Brawl 13 card in hybrid MMA/boxing event

A member of Erie’s first family of boxing returns to the ring this month.

Anthony Bizzarro, who is 6-0 as a professional, is listed in the main event for Bayfront Brawl 13. The hybrid mixed martial arts/boxing card is scheduled July 29 at the Bayfront Convention Center’s parking lot.

MMA fights will start at 5 p.m. and the boxing matches at 8. All bouts are subject to change, according to promoter Ernie Bizzarro.

General admission tickets are $35 for standing room and $40 for seats. VIP ringside seats are $65 per person, with front-row tables at $750 and second-row tables at $650.

Anthony Bizzarro is scheduled to face Marcello Williams (4-18-1) in a six-round lightweight bout. Williams, a native of Brazil, currently trains in Orlando, Florida.

Bizzarro, 23, made his professional debut in Aug. 2021. He won four of his first five bouts at the Convention Center or Presque Isle Downs & Casino.

However, Bizzarro proved he could be successful outside of Erie earlier this year. He was part of a Feb. 18 card in the Dominican Republic, where he recorded a second-round technical knockout of Leury Peguero.

Bizzarro has won his last four fights via knockout or technical knockout.
