New England Patriots reportedly seeking trade partner for Mac Jones

Former Alabama quarterback Mac Jones is preparing to enter into his third season in the NFL with the New England Patriots after being a first-round selection in the 2021 draft. However, his status as the franchise’s quarterback is apparently up in the air.

Recent rumors and reports have begun swirling on the internet because of a report from NBS Sports’ Mike Florio that stated head coach Bill Belichick was actively shopping Jones during the 2023 free agency.

There’s no telling exactly where Jones could end up, or if any teams have expressed strong interest in the young quarterback. However, Robert Griffin III is confused as to why this would be the case, considering the position he was put into for the 2022 season.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Jones and other former Alabama players in the NFL as the 2023 offseason continues.
