El Paso boxer Cesar Alvarado now 3-0 with decision win in Albuquerque

El Paso pro boxer Cesar Alvarado remained unbeaten Saturday night with a four-round decision victory against Albuquerque's Sterling Peak at the Expo New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Alvarado, who has been fighting near the super middleweight weight class of 168 early in his career, won by scores of 39-37, 39-37 and 40-36 in the four round fight,

Alvarado is 3-0 in his career and Peak is 2-1. Alvarado, who is a 2020 graduate of Chapin High School, was fighting for the first time since November.

Alvarado, who is a former Texas state amateur champion, has said that Saturday's fight was a big one since he was facing an unbeaten fighter in a stepping stone type of fight for his career.
