Eight from Richland County earn All-Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference boys basketball honors

MANSFIELD — Eight Richland County boys basketball players were named to the 2023-24 All-Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference teams Tuesday.

Shelby's Alex Bruskotter and Clear Fork's Garett Hotz earned first team All-MOAC honors. Bruskotter, who is in line to pick up his second MOAC Player of the Year honor which will be announced at a later date, averaged 23.7 points per game this year to go along with 9.1 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.1 blocks per game for the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference champs.

ALL-DISTRICT 6: Bruskotter named Division II District 6 Player of the Year; 14 Richland County players honored

Hotz averaged 17.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game for the 10-win Colts.

Ontario's Landon Foltz and Shelby's Casey Lantz and Issaiah Ramsey earned second team honors while Clear Fork's Jaden Beachy, Ontario's Brady Zehe and Shelby's Brayden DeVito were honorable mentions.

SECOND TEAM: Elijah Chafin, Galion; Logan Thrapp, Marion Harding; Landon Foltz, Ontario; Ayden Kenney, River Valley; Chase Ebert, River Valley; Casey Lantz, Shelby; Issaiah Ramsey, Shelby.
