Eagles cut veteran offensive tackle Fred Johnson
We had Fred Johnson projected to make the Eagles 53-man roster as a backup left tackle to Jordan Mailata, but it appears Howie Roseman had another idea.
According to NFL Communications, the team terminated Johnson’s contract on Wednesday.
Johnson logged 35 snaps in the Eagles preseason matchup against Cleveland, and the fifth-year offensive tackle had a solid preseason before the move.
