And, per Niceville's MO at state, it was on the backs of several medalists outside of Powe and Broussard.

Lauded offensive lineman and senior Joe Hanson finished second in the shot put with a throw of 56-7.5 feet, while junior Van Carter cleared 15-03 feet in the pole vault to narrowly finish second.

Senior Raiden Lafortune placed second to Broussard in the discus with a throw of 179-11 feet, while senior Eon Morris placed third in the 400m hurdles in 53.1 seconds.

Junior Dawson Isbell placed fourth in the 800m in 1:54.78, while Oli Broutin finished third in the triple jump in 47.03-75 and sixth in the high jump in 6-05.50.

As for the state titles by Powe and Broussard, they're the stuff of legends.

Powe, a junior, threw 168-5 feet to beat Luis Castaneda's 164-5 mark. Broussard, a junior, was in a different ballpark than his competitors with a throw of 204-07 feet, a mark good for seventh in the country.

What a win. What a team. What a dynasty.
