DWU volleyball defeated in four sets by No. 12 Jamestown to close regular season

Oct. 31—JAMESTOWN, S.D. — The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball regular season came to a close on Tuesday night with a 3-1 loss to No. 12 Jamestown.

Set scores were 25-13, 25-18, 21-25 and 25-13.

The Jimmies hit .315 for the night on the attack with 70 kills and 18 errors, compared to 41 kills for the Tigers.

For DWU, Ady Dwight had a team-best 15 kills, with eight from Abby Brunsing and seven from Lizzie Tyler, who had a team-best 18 digs. Kayleigh Hybertson had 32 set assists. Carlee Laubach had 14 digs and Kayleigh Hybertson had 11 digs.

Aleah Zieske had a match-best 24 kills for the Jimmies, with 14 kills from Lexi Olson.

DWU (19-14, 8-8 GPAC) finished the regular season with the No. 7 seed in the Great Plains Athletic Conference and will face No. 2 Concordia on Saturday, Nov. 4 in Seward, Nebraska. The Bulldogs (21-2, 14-2 GPAC) are ranked No. 4 in the nation. First serve is at 7:30 p.m.
