Dolphins at Texans: Is Tua Tagovailoa scheduled to play?
HOUSTON — Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is expected to play, at least briefly, at the Texans in a preseason game on Saturday.
Tua is not on the Dolphins' list of players not expected to play.
Miami coach Mike McDaniel said this week that he wanted to get Tagovailoa into some action in preseason Game 2 and/or Game 3.
Tagovailoa's last action was on Dec. 25, 2022, at home against Green Bay. He left the game with a concussion, which was at least his second of the season.
Mike White seems firmly ahead of Skylar Thompson in the battle for #2 quarterback.
McDaniel has said he was likely to play Thompson ahead of White in the second game, after White played first in preseason Game 1.
Among the other players who are injured or banged up for the Dolphins: left tackle Terron Armstead, left guard Liam Eichenberg, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, wide receiver Braxton Berrios, cornerback Jalen Ramsey, cornerback Kader Kohou and cornerback Cam Smith.

It will be interesting to see how Isaiah Wynn and Robert Jones fares at left guard.
Lester Cotton won't play in this game.
It will also be interesting to see how cornerbacks Noah Igbinoghene and Eli Apple perform.
Christian Wilkins, in a contract negotiation, won't play.
