Dolphins lose Bradley Chubb for season ahead of Bills matchup

The Miami Dolphins’ pass rush sustained a massive injury to it prior to an even bigger game that is en route against the Buffalo Bills.

According to Dolphins Wire, Miami (11-5) lost Bradley Chubb to a torn ACL during their Week 17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He is out for an very extended period, including their upcoming postseason run and Bills matchup.

The Dolphins have locked in a playoff position, however, this upcoming Week 18 clash is for the AFC East title, winner-take-all.

With Chubb out, Buffalo will now face Miami without their sack leader. Chubb led the team with 11 total. Pro Football Focus graded Chubb as the 12th best edge defender in the NFL as well (88.8 overall).

In addition to Chubb, further injury bugs have hit the Dolphins defense including cornerback Xavien Howard (foot) and linebacker Jerome Baker (knee). The latter has been designated to return from injured reserve but it’s still unclear if he will face Buffalo.

Bills Wire will bring the latest injury updates ahead of Week 18’s contest throughout the coming days.
