Dolphins CEO Dee takes same role with baseball's Padres
Miami Dolphins CEO Mike Dee will leave the club in a move expected to be announced today to take a similar position with Major League Baseball's San Diego Padres, per the Miami Herald.
Dee will stay on for about a month until he transitions into his new job across the country.
Dee, who has run the non-football side of the Dolphins operation since 2009, previously worked for the Padres from 1995-2002.
The Dolphins have hired a "headhunter" firm to find a replacement for Dee. General manager Jeff Ireland will continue to run the football side of the Dolphins' operation. Both Ireland and the to-be-hired CEO will report to owner Stephen Ross.
