Dodgers' Mookie Betts, an Overton grad, and actor Will Ferrell cheer together for LA Kings

Mookie Betts and Will Ferrell hung out at a hockey game Thursday night in Los Angeles.

Betts — an Overton High School graduate, MLB MVP, seven-time All-Star, two-time World Series champion and six-time Gold Glove winner — was seen at a Los Angeles Kings game with Ferrell, a four-time Emmy winner, actor, producer, writer and comedian.

Betts, who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers, sat next to Ferrell, who played the main character in the legendary Christmas movie "Elf."

The two collaborated on a "Go Kings, go!" chant from their front-row seats at Crypto.com Arena.

Betts, dressed in a black Kings jersey and knit cap, did the ceremonial puck drop before the Kings faced the Detroit Red Wings.

Betts was the first player in MLB history to win the MVP, Silver Slugger, Gold Glove, batting title and World Series in the same year. He is a career .294 hitter who has hit 252 home runs and has a .900 OPS in 10 big-league seasons.

He also participated as an amateur in the 2023 U.S. Championship of bowling in Indianapolis.

Ferrell, who in 2016 was rumored to be looking for property in the Nashville area, is a former "Saturday Night Live" star who has been in everything from "Zoolander" to "Blades of Glory."
