Detroit Lions vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers playoff tickets: What it'll cost you to be there

The hottest ticket in town right now: Detroit Lions playoff tickets. But it will cost you. Maybe even as high as $12,000 a ticket.

The Lions host the Buccaneers after Baker Mayfield led Tampa Bay to a 32-9 wild-card win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, setting up a showdown with the Lions in a divisional playoff game at 3 p.m. Sunday at Ford Field.

And the Lions, for the second consecutive week, are the odds on favorites to win.

Standing room only tickets are going for $739 right now on TickPick, some of the lowest prices for the game. Some tickets are going for as high as $12,000, but most appear to be in the $1,000 to $2,000 range. According to TickPick, this is the most expensive divisional game on record.

TickPick reports that the average purchase price is $1,186 — 96% more expensive than the previous most expensive divisional round game between the 49ers and Cowboys last season ($605). One fan already purchased two tickets in Section 127, Row 1 for $3,116 a piece ($6,232 total).

The current “get-in” price for a physical seat is $739 — 16% more expensive than the combined cost to attend every other Divisional Round game ($637). Another comparison to put the demand TickPick is seeing into perspective, the total cost to attend every remaining Detroit Pistons game is $610 — 17% less expensive than the current “get-in” of the Lions-Bucs game.

The Lions effect seems to be in full swing, with last Sunday’s game against the Rams also setting the record for most expensive wild card game on record.

The biggest price as of Tuesday morning on TickPick was for four tickets at $12,453 each in Section 106, Row 36 for a $49,812 total. TickPick charges no additional fees with purchase.
