Derrick Rose scores 24, Bulls beat Pistons

Pau Gasol put up his fifth double-double this season, scoring 17 points and registering 15 rebounds, to help the Chicago Bulls defeat the Detroit Pistons, 102-91. Chicago (6-2) picked up the win after falling to the Boston Celtics on Saturday.

Gasol shot 8-17 from the field. Other top performers for Chicago were Derrick Rose with 24 points and seven assists, and Joakim Noah with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Despite the loss, Josh Smith put up 19 points for Detroit on 8-19 shooting. Greg Monroe chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds and Brandon Jennings finished with 11 points and eight assists.

Coming up next, the Bulls battle the Toronto Raptors, who are 6-1 on the year. The Pistons meet the Washington Wizards, currently 5-2 this season.
