Derrick Henry injury updates: The latest on Titans RB’s Week 14 status
The Tennessee Titans lost multiple starters during their Week 13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, with running back Derrick Henry being among them.
Henry exited in the fourth quarter after taking a hard hit that led to his being evaluated for a concussion. Henry did not return to the contest and was replaced by rookie Tyjae Spears, who played well in his absence.
For my fantasy football friends: make sure you grab Spears if he’s available on the waiver wire, as he’ll be the next man up if Henry can’t play. The Tulane product tallied 19 touches for 88 yards (76 rushing) in Week 13.
The Titans do not have another running back on their active roster other than Spears but do have Jonathan Ward on the practice squad. It wouldn’t be at all surprising to see Tennessee add another back during the week if Henry can’t go.
But Henry still has a full week of practice before the Titans have to make a decision on him, and Tennessee has an extra day this week thanks to a Monday night matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

No update from Mike Vrabel after the game (12/3)
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel did not provide an update on Henry’s status after the game, only saying he was unable to return, which likely means he didn’t pass the concussion protocol, putting his status for Week 14 in doubt.
