Damian Bravo leaves Texas Tech baseball game, not in lineup in series finale

Texas Tech baseball left fielder Damian Bravo left a game Sunday at Baylor with apparent hand discomfort and wasn't in the starting lineup for the first time this season in the series finale.

During an at-bat in the top of the eighth inning, Bravo was shaking one of his hands, according to the Texas Tech radio broadcast. Bravo finished the at-bat with a strikeout and was replaced in the field in the bottom of the inning.

Baylor won 5-1. It was the completion of a game suspended from Saturday on account of rain in Waco. Drew Woodcox got the start in left field in the last game.

Bravo went into Sunday leading NCAA Division I in doubles with 14. He also went into Sunday leading the Big 12 in batting average (.465) and hits (33), tied for the lead in runs (27) and second in runs batted in (29) and on-base plus slugging (1.275).

The sophomore from Haltom started Texas Tech's first 17 games of the season in left field and moved from the 7-hole to the 5-hole in the Red Raiders' lineup at the beginning of March.
