The Chicago Cubs chose depth and continuity when putting together their roster for the 2024 season and it's also been that same depth in continuity that's kept them afloat through the first seven weeks of the season with injuries to guys like Dansby Swanson, Cody Bellinger.

S Suzuki Jamison Taone and Justin Steele players like Mike Taman, Patrick Wisdom, Javier Sad and Ben Brown have stepped up in a big way for the Cubs.

It's been the reason they've been near the top of the NL Central and hold on to the second wild card spot in the national league as the Cubs get healthier, look for them to start to make additions to their roster.

The Cubs bullpen has been an area of concern and it should be an area where Jed Hoyer and Carter Hawkins look to strengthen their team as they look to make a postseason for the first time since 2020.
