Crestview's Durbin, Clear Fork's Blubaugh named Division III All-Ohioans in softball

They were two of the best left-side infielders in the entire state in 2023.

And the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association agreed. Crestview's Sophie Durbin and Clear Fork's Melodie Blubaugh were both named All-Ohioans by the OHSFSCA as Durbin was a second team selection and Blubaugh took honorable mention honors.

Durbin was the co-Firelands Conference Player of the Year after hitting .577 with 41 hits, 42 runs scored, 18 RBIs with eight doubles, seven triples and four home runs. She also drew 16 walks and stole 28 bases. She proved her worth as a two-way player sporting a .949 fielding percentage at shortstop with just three errors on the season.

Blubaugh enjoyed a breakout season for the Colts hitting .598 with 55 hits including 11 doubles, four triples and four home runs while driving in 24 runs and scoring 45 with 12 stolen bases. She also sported a .945 fielding percentage with just five errors on the season.
