A Junior Olympian is turning heads for reaching a remarkable sprint speed while training at a performance gym in Houston, Texas.

Eight-year-old Jayce Wilson is captured on video hitting a speed of 18.2 mph.

He continues to run at high speed for several seconds before hopping off.

The footage was recorded by Jayce's father, Randall Wilson, who documents the boy's athletic progress on social media.

According to Brittanica.com, Usain Bolt, who holds the world record for the 100-meter, reached a top speed of 27.33 mph during a 100-meter race in 2011.

Jayce is well on his way.

In 2021, Jayce competed in the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) Junior Olympics, placing sixth in under-8s 100 meters.
