Cory Joseph, Spurs beat Wizards, 101-92

The San Antonio Spurs put together a very efficient performance, turning it over on only 10 possessions while totaling 27 assists, in a 101-92 win over the Washington Wizards. San Antonio (21-14) has now won back-to-back games after defeating New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday.

Cory Joseph put up 19 points on 8-10 shooting, in a strong performance. Other key performers for San Antonio were Marco Belinelli with 12 points and five rebounds, and Danny Green with 10 points and six rebounds. Despite the loss, John Wall scored 15 points for Washington on 7-13 shooting. He also tallied eight assists. Kris Humphries added 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Spurs posted a sterling assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.70. This year, they are 5-1 when they exceed 2.50 in this metric. Conversely, the Wizards are winless (0-3) when allowing their opponents to achieve such a stellar ratio.

Washington (22-11) has now dropped their last three straight.

Coming up next, the Spurs square off against the Detroit Pistons, who are 9-23 on the year. The Wizards go up against the New Orleans Pelicans, currently 17-16 this season. The Wizards are 1-0 versus New Orleans this season.
