Commanders WR coach Drew Terrell could land job on Cardinals’ coaching staff

The Arizona Cardinals interviewed Washington Commanders wide receivers coach Drew Terrell for their offensive coordinator job. He did not get the job. That position went to Drew Petzing, formerly the quarterbacks coach for the Cleveland Browns.

However, Terrell still could land a spot on new head coach Jonathan Gannon’s coaching staff.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Terrell “is considered a strong candidate for a passing game coordinator role” in Arizona.

Terrell is only 31 years old and has been coaching in the NFL since 2018. From 2014-2017 he was a graduate assistant in college for Virginia Techa nd Michigan. In 2018-2019, he was offensive quality control coach for the Carolina Panthers under head coach Ron Rivera. He followed Rivera to Washington in 2020 as assistant wide receivers coach and was promoted to receivers coach in 2021.
