College softball rankings: Big 12 teams in updated Coaches Poll top 25

The Big 12 remains at the top of the college softball world in this week's USA TODAY/NFCA Coaches Poll rankings, with three of its programs coming in the top 10.

No. 1 Oklahoma (4-0) once again headlines the group after setting the NCAA’s all-time winning streak at 57 games. The Sooners accomplished that feat after posting four wins at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge in Mexico over Long Beach State, then-No. 7 Washington and then-No. 11 Duke. The Sooners are No. 1 in the poll for the 13th consecutive week and 44th time in the last 45 polls.

No. 3 Texas (5-0) jumped five spots from No. 8 after breaking out the bats and outscoring its three opponents — UCLA, San Diego State and Long Beach — 64-5 over the weekend. The Longhorns hit .534 as a team, with eight home runs, 11 drawn walks and 66 total bases in their two games vs. UCLA and San Diego State. Sophomore shortstop Viviana Martinez spearheaded the Longhorn's offensive outburst on Saturday, going 7 for 8 at the plate with seven RBIs.

Elsewhere, No. 6 Oklahoma State (5-0) moved up in the poll folloing its opening weekend on the West Coast. In its final game of the weekend, OSU run-ruled then-No. 10 UCLA 9-1rule, the program's first in a true road game against an opponent ranked in the NFCA top 10. Meanwhile, No. 24 Baylor (0-2) fell two spots after dropping both games to No. 2 Tennessee, 3-2 and 9-1, respectively.

Here is how those resulted were reflected in the latest update to the Coaches Poll:
