COLLEGE FOOTBALL: UTPB releases 2022 season schedule
Apr. 2—The UTPB football team will play six of its 11 games at home this season as the Falcons released their 2022 schedule Friday.
They will open the season against Southwest Baptist on Sept. 3 at Ratliff Stadium. Southwest Baptist was the school that stepped in last season when the Falcons had their season-opening game against the University of Fort Lauderdale canceled by COVID-19 protocols.
UTPB will host Western Colorado in another nonconference game, on Sept. 10, before opening Lone Star Conference play against Angelo State University on Sept. 17 at Ratliff Stadium.
The Falcons will face three new conference schools in Western Oregon, Simon Fraser (B.C.) and Central Washington this season.
